RefNic for District Magistrate & Chief Development Officer

The district magistrate is custodian and the administration head of the district and the problems of general public is addressed to DM. DM analyses  the application and then he marks it to the concerned officer of the district. The monitoring of these applications is done through software developed at NIC Kanpur-Dehat in MS-Access environment. The windows based s/w is developed in devanagri and has various MIS reports. This s/w is easy to use as it can be operated by any operator in a day training. The Enquiry Clerk of Collectorate enters the data for the database and various reports are generated from the software.

 

The Report for the Head of the Office are as follows: -

It provides a better decision support system by the generation of Management Information System. This MIS makes the work of DM/CDO easier and gives a better picture of the government.

CourtMis for Courts of District Magistrate & ADM’s

This software is developed in MS-Access environment of RDBMS, which can handle the Court cases of various natures of different courts. This software is developed in Devanagri and very easy to operate. The peshkar enters the data of different courts. After the court of a particular officer is over, the peshkar again enters the proceedings of the court, in the software and hence it has the online database, which at any times gives the correct status of a particular court case. This software is implemented at following courts:-

District Court Computerization

     The District Court Computer Center is a center of excellence, which has the online database of civil and criminal courts. The software is developed by NIC Kanpur-Dehat, which has taken control of all the activities of the District Court Kanpur-Dehat.

 

The software supplied was not sufficient for the needs of District Court, so several changes are made in the software. The software is giving a lot of benefits to the District Court. Several new options and modules are added in the software so that it can cater the needs of District Court Kanpur-Dehat. The project is broken as follows:-

The website of Kanpur-Dehat was given a new look in July 2003. This includes the use of java script in WebPages to get dynamism in the WebPages. This website is regularly updated at least once in two months. The website once hosted it should be updated regularly.

 

It is seen that various departments access data directly from the website. The new features in the website is added on regular basis.

Updation of District Court Website http://kanpurdehatcourt.up.nic.in

On the request of District Judge, NIC Kanpur-Dehat was given the responsibility of developing the District Court Website. The website was developed in a record tenure of 1 month time. This is a database driven website, which carries the responsibility of updating the data over web regularly. The task is being carried out by NIC by the support of data from district court.

Updation in Receipt Computerisation at Trade Tax Department

     Trade Tax of the state Government is being deposited at various branches of 9 nationalized Banks and treasuries; then accounting is being done at treasuries on the basis of the report made by these branches. The software was developed in the previous years. It is running well till today and the reports are being generated every month and are distributed to different departments like treasury, trade tax and the branches of the banks. Two new modules are added in the software in this calendar year.

Ø       The Sector wise reports are useful to the Trade tax officer, so that they can match the amount being deposited in their sector.

      The DRDA Kanpur-Dehat is fully computerised by NIC, Kanpur-Dehat by giving them full support for past 7 years for existing as well as for new upcoming projects. Creation of database of Widow and Old Age Pension

Population wise Kanpur-Dehat is big district having 10 blocks and the management of widow pension in the district is unsystematic, hence I took up the target of computerization of the Widow Pension. The database so developed was of 14,000 records in all.

 

The reports generated were provided to the District Magistrate, ADM, and the Social Welfare officer. One Query counter is also opened which gives the status of the pensioner.

 

TREASURY COMPUTERISATION

 

Treasury Kanpur-Nagar & Treasury Kanpur-Dehat

 

      The treasury software [TISNIC] in oracle 6 is implemented in treasury Kanpur-Nagar & Kanpur-Dehat. I am giving full support to the staff and the treasury officers. This support is multifunctional of Linux 5.2, Oracle & windows as well other techniques at the Hardware and Software level.

      The different upgrades and the day-to-day database problems are being handled by NIC. This requires the knowledge of SQL plus and other supported reports of the oracle. The Office is well looked after by me for last 8 years.

 

Creation of first Website for Pension

     I have developed the first portal for the treasury pension for Uttar Pradesh. This portal is maintained at my level and the data being updated regularly to this website. This portal includes the database of Treasury Kanpur Nagar and Treasury Kanpur Dehat. Later the portal was extended to all the districts of Uttar Pradesh.

 

Video Conferencing Support to Various Depts.

            The SCPC DAMA video conferencing set up is operational since 25^th December 2001. NIC is giving full support to various State Govt. departments for its video conferencing needs. Various senior Officers like District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer and other District level Officers are utilizing video conferencing facility on regular basis.

 

SCANNING Project of District Maps

      This project is divided in different phases. In phase 1, we have scanned the maps of Kanpur-Dehat. This was a tedious work as the Maps were scanned from Remote Sensing Application Center, Kursi Road, Lucknow. So, It took almost 8 months to complete this work and the 2^nd  step was to acquire the GIS software to analyise the different demographic features of the Kanpur Dehat so that the better forecasting can be made about the District Kanpur-Dehat. The data is dumped on CDs.

 

For one full year we have distributed copy from these scanned files but after some time Board of Revenue has taken up the database of Kanpur-Dehat at Lucknow. The third phase consist of digitization of the scanned maps. The third phase will be over by the December, 2005.

 

LAND RECORDS COMPUTERISATION PROJECT

This project is running at National Informatics Center Kanpur Dehat f0or last 10 years. District is having five tehsils and the project is implemented at two tehsils and the data is being updated from time-to-time. For the remaining three tehsils the demand for the computers are raised to Board of Revenue, Lucknow.

Ø       We are first in Uttar Pradesh to Complete Data Entry as well as to implement Land Records Project to one tehsil i.e. Akbarpur.

Ø       NAKAL is being distributed and we have collected 6000/- till Dec, 2001.

The software is changed from Lucknow level; hence we are the process of changing the data to new software.

REVENUE AND COLLECTION WORK Computerisation

Add. District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Office is fully Computerised and various reports are being generated from the software. This software actually controls the revenues related activities of the District Kanpur-Dehat by making the Computerised Recovery Certificates database, Fortnightly Demand database, Comparative Statements Database and the Main & Misc. dues work and the Registration and Stamps Department.

 

Recovery Certificate [RC] Computerization

This project is running for last 12 years in NIC and now we have the data for 12 financial years. The data for this financial year is 88,000 records. We have covered 235 branched of the banks. We have different type of reports like  District Wise, Tehsil Wise and Check List. This software also generates analytical reports like reports on the basis of the amount entered Like RC having amount greater than 10,000 and less than 1,00,000; RC denomination greater than 1,00,000 etc.

 

Fortnightly Demand Database                     

This module of the software is having the options of; Data Entry, Modification, deletion and reports for checklist, Month, Year, district level and tehsil level.

      The DESTO Office Kanpur-Dehat is being looked after by NIC. This includes Software as well as the maintenance part with the help of National Informatics Center.
